Sept 26th - WISE - Solar Energy Discussion

Fern Avenue Public School – 7:30pm

I will be speaking in support of the West Toronto initiative for Solar Energy to interested community members at the Roncevalles Macdonell Resident's Association.

I will be offering a basic overview of the technology, the Ontario Government Standing Offer Program, and will be leading a group discussion about how the investment in household solar is a secure and intelligent home energy solution.

The West-Toronto Initiative for Solar Energy is volunteer-run non profit grass roots community initiative, seeking to provide home owners with a lower-cost acquisition of home based Solar Technology Solutions. To learn more please plan to attend a community meeting close to you.

With the Federal Government cancellation of funding for two very important environmental programs, Greensaver and One Tonne Challenge, it is very important that communities and individuals take it upon themselves to make choices for a healthier environment.

Imagine Solar Panels on Every Roof in Parkdale, High Park, Bloor West, Roncesvalles Hillcrest, and Cedarvale:

It is possible and you can help make it happen! There is a movement afoot for our community to pool our buying power for installation of Solar Panels. With the Ontario Government’s Standing offer program to buy Solar power from residents for $.42 per kilowatt hour makes the installation of Solar on your household roof more viable.

If you are interested in learning more please contact me via phone or e-mail and I will provide you with a complete package of information.
